Easy Digital Downloads <= 3.7.0 - Unauthenticated Unauthorized Account Creation
The Easy Digital Downloads plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.7.0. This is due to missing check against the site's user registration setting before calling edd_register_and_login_new_user() during checkout. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create a WordPress user account and receive a logged-in session even when the site's user registration setting is disabled.
